Like all Arab Gulf countries Kuwait is an Islamic state, however due to the presence of foreign workers other cultural lifestyles can be experienced. Kuwait's population is around 2 million and expatriates make up around sixty three percent of this figure. The official language is Arabic although English is widely spoken.
